This past Thursday was the press/opening reception for my new exhibition Comics Stripped, which I worked on with comics expert Craig Yoe. With hundreds of people in attendance it was a great way to kick off this incredible exhibition that features original art from artists such as Tom of Finland, R. Crumb, Eric Stanton, John Willie, Harvey Kurtzman, Dan DeCarlo, Eldon Dedini, Jefferson Machamer, Jessica Fink, Colleen Coover and Dean Yeagle.

From beautiful artwork to cartoon porn, this exhibition will satisfy the expectations of comics aficionados and those less versed in the genre. Our Museum of Sex parties always feature a diverse group of guests including those in the world of art, fashion, science, hospitality, academia, publishing and entertainment...it seems every discipline has an interest in sex. Luma Rouge, an artist who captures the color, vivacity and politics of the burlesque scene created her own erotic comic dress for the event, featured above. She brought along Melody Sweets, one of the best known individuals in the New York Neo-Burlesque scene.

Friday night, I was treated to the quirky and funny performance of Daniel Packard's LIVE GROUP Sex Therapy Show in an intimate New York theater. In an interactive form of theater, the audience was asked to text in their sex questions, erotic fantasies and act out some of the basics of the gender divide. From understanding how make-up mimics the sexual response of rosy cheeks to the darkening of lips with lipstick to mimic more intimate parts of a woman's body to a very frank conversation about how men and women view sex and relationships, it is a fun night to spend with your partner or a large group of friends. I'm not going to spoil the full depths of Packard's sex therapy...but the phrase "Bad Monkey" seemed to strike a chord with many in attendance. Channel your inner gorilla, men!
